Privacy Policy
LoopBreak is made by APPCRAFTSTUDIO. It counts the reels and short videos you watch, so you can see how much you scroll. Everything it records stays on your phone.
The short version
- LoopBreak has no internet access. The app does not request Android's internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere — not to us, not to anyone.
- There is no account, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- We never see your data. We could not see it even if we wanted to.
Why LoopBreak uses Android's Accessibility service
To count videos, LoopBreak has to notice when another app moves to a new reel or short. On Android, the only way one app can see what another app is showing is the Accessibility service, so LoopBreak uses it for this one purpose. It is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities, and it only works after you switch it on yourself in your phone's Accessibility settings, after LoopBreak has explained what it does.
| Apps it looks at | Only Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and Snapchat. Android does not show LoopBreak any other app — not your messages, your bank, your browser or your keyboard. |
|---|---|
| What it looks at | The layout of those apps' video players: the size and type of the scrolling view and its pages, and their view names, so it can tell when a new video comes on screen and how long the player was open. |
| What it never reads | Text on screen, messages, comments, captions, usernames, the videos themselves, or anything you type. |
| What it does on screen | Shows a small floating counter over the video player and, if you set a daily limit, a break screen. "Take a break" returns you to the home screen. It does not tap, swipe or change anything in other apps. |
What is stored, and where
All of this is kept in the app's private storage on your phone:
- A record of each reel or short counted: the time, and which of the five apps it was in.
- How many seconds each app's video player was open, per day.
- Your settings: daily limit, which apps to count, and the counter's position.
- A troubleshooting log of the last few hundred detection steps (view types and counts only). It lives in memory and disappears when the app stops.
None of it leaves your phone, and it is not included in Android backups. You can erase all of it at any time in LoopBreak › Settings › Erase all history. Uninstalling the app deletes it too.
Information we collect
None. LoopBreak does not collect, share or sell personal or sensitive information. Google Play may give us anonymous, aggregated statistics such as install counts and crash reports, under Google's Privacy Policy.
Children
LoopBreak is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone, children included.
Turning it off
You can switch LoopBreak off at any time in Settings › Accessibility, or uninstall it. Counting stops immediately.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If LoopBreak ever needs to send data off your phone, this policy will say so before an update that does it.
