PdfCraft — Privacy Policy

PdfCraft is a PDF editing app for Android, published by appcraftstudio ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. It is short because the app does very little with it.

Documents and files

When you choose a PDF or a photo, Android copies it into PdfCraft's own private storage area on your device. All processing — merging, splitting, rotating, watermarking, numbering, page removal and text editing — happens locally on your phone, using the phone's own processor.

• Your documents are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
• We have no servers that receive your files, and no way to see them.
• Finished files are written to the app's private cache and handed to Android's share sheet only when you ask to share or save them. Where they go from there is your choice.
• You can clear the app's working files at any time from within the app, or by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings. Uninstalling the app removes them all.

Data we collect

None. PdfCraft contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no tracking software and no third-party SDKs that collect data. We do not ask you to create an account, and there is no sign-in.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, device identifiers, or usage statistics.

The one network request the app makes

PdfCraft works without an internet connection. There is a single exception: if you open the PDF editor and choose a font that is not already on your device, the app downloads that font file from Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com) and caches it on your device so it does not need to download it again.

• Only the font file is requested. Your document is not sent, not referenced, and not involved in any way.
• The request is made without cookies or credentials.
• As with any request to any website, Google receives the network information inherent to serving it, such as your IP address. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• If you never choose a new font, PdfCraft makes no network requests at all.

Permissions

PdfCraft requests only INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, which are used for the font download described above. It does not request access to your photos, media, files, camera, microphone, contacts or location. Documents are selected through Android's own file picker, which grants the app access to the one file you chose and nothing else.

Children

PdfCraft is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.

Changes to this policy

If the app's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the date at the top before releasing that version.
